Volumetric Paintings
For almost twenty years I have been examining the intersections of painting and sculpture to create what I term volumetric paintings—works that fulfill a basic physical definition of many paintings: paint applied to a support structure. Using traditional sculptural techniques, I cast acrylic paint into wooden, plaster or plastic forms. Once dried that I mount these on wooden or acrylic supports.
